My sister, her man, and her good friend, Michelle, are visiting me for a few days. They came to Ocean City for the Dew Tour. They're volunteering at this giant event that has our whole town (& every other town in a 50 mile radius) exploding with enthusiasm about extreme sports. It's actually really exciting because I'm sure it will bring a surge in tourism revenue to our coastal town.
I took this trio on a few spur-of-the-moment adventures. We went thrift store shopping in Salisbury, headed to a new abandoned house, visited one of my favorite old abandoned houses, stopped to see the large model rocket ship in Berlin and then went to the chariot horse races. Such a fun evening. Wasn't planning on doing any of it, either. It just kind of happened!
We were laughing hysterically. I never think twice about walking through talk grasses, climbing into windows, or stepping over miscellaneous items at these old houses that I love so much. Apparently, other people really do get kind of freaked out about that stuff. Michelle went to climb into a house, built in the 1800's, that was covered in ivy. She was quickly greated by a large spider and turned around shreaking! I seriously was about to pee my pants in laughter! Her face was priceless. Then my sister and her man also ran away like speed demons to my car. They were all ready to leave before even entering the historic home. Too funny.
We did have a great time and take a few silly pictures to prove it. They were troopers.
