(My dad & I with his most current build, a '68 Harley Davidson)
One of my most favorite things to do is get dolled up, go to a classic car show, mingle, take pictures, and hang out with my friends and family. Sounds like a good time, don't you think? I'm lucky enough to live in a place where these kind of shows happen all the time. Remember Rods & Rockers? Well, that show happens twice a year - during early spring and early fall. Last Saturday, the fall car show took place.
What a stellar event! I wore some of my finest vintage fashions, got dolled up with one of my best friends, walked around in the sunshine and donated to a good cause. The beautiful 'gals of Pink Ribbon Pinups were raising money for an upcoming breast cancer awareness project. Want to help this group or learn more about their cause? Go check out their Facebook Page and 'like' them!
(We're quite the bunch of goons, aren't we?)
The car show was held at the Steer Inn Tavern, one of my favorite places for live Rockabilly music. A few of my friends had their rat rods at the show and my dad drove one of his restored old Harley's. Neato. Jeff & Geis, thanks for letting me hang out in your hot rods all afternoon! Tracy, thanks for some of these awesome photos.
After a busy day we went out for dinner, changed attire, and went back to the Steer Inn for more music and some dancing. I'll be back with more pictures from our swing dancing escapades in just a few minutes!
