This past Friday afternoon, the streets of historic Berlin, MD were covered in couples, brides-to-be, and hopeful winners. Berlin held it’s very first Bridal & Art Stroll. Every 2nd Friday of the month Berlin has a stroll. The stroll in June was dedicated to wedding season – and to welcoming Bustle to the neighborhood.
Bustle is a brand new wedding dress boutique that opened on Main Street. The store was opened by a mother-daughter team, Kathy and Jen, and sells beautiful wedding gowns, bridal accessories, bridesmaid dresses, and flower girl dresses. I wish them the best of luck with their new business and am so excited to finally have a bridal store in town.
The Atlantic Hotel was also decked out for the event. Flowers by Allison, of West Ocean City, made several beautiful flower arrangements. The flowers accented a tea table, a champagne toast table, a bridesmaid’s luncheon table, and a wedding reception table. Kara Dahl Russell, a harpist and contralto of Pear Shaped Tones, provided music for the event. Angela Reynolds and Kristin Basmajian of the Atlantic Hotel made sure their ballroom and dining area were spotless and incredibly welcoming.
Located in the hotel’s ballroom dining area was Little Miss Lovely. I had set up shop for the evening – displaying some of my vintage accessories, hand-made hair pieces, and one-of-a-kind jewelry.
The night was a success and one woman went home with nearly $2,000 worth of gifts donated by local bridal businesses! It was great to mingle with new couples, meet couples getting married in Berlin, and network with others in the business. Thanks for coming to Berlin to check it out! Can’t wait until September for the next Bridal event in Berlin!
