happy birthday, nina!

This past weekend, a stunning local ‘gal celebrated her birthday with a surprise party thrown by her incredible parents. Nina’s surprise party required several rustic, autumn centerpieces, a stunning cake stopper, and some rose petals for extra pizzazz. The centerpieces consisted of tomato vines, big sunflowers, fluffy green hydrangea, peach roses, rust colored mums, orange alstroemeria, various sea grasses, and a sampling of leaves. On the shore right now, the leaves are enchanting shades of oranges, reds, and bright yellows; I wanted to bring those colors into the flower arrangements. The top off the rustic theme, the flowers were placed in classic mason jars, tied with raffia, and accessorized with dried pomegranates.

The cake topper was placed upon a gorgeous cake by Baked Dessert Café in Berlin, MD. I’m loving this “naked” cake and matching cupcakes! It’s stunning.

Peachy rose petals mixed with small orange-y maple leaves were spread around the dessert tables, too.
