Yesterday's wedding was perfect... simple, elegant, and filled with fun and laughter. Keri was a dream bride... she didn't ask for much, knew that she wanted things to be simple, and was so trusting when it came to her wedding flowers. An autumnal blend of white, ivory, green & tan was just right for the season.
Keri's bouquet was filled with texture. She wanted a more traditional styled bouquet that wasn't too large and heavy; something lots of brides request. I put together a nice bouquet of white roses, spray roses, creamy dahlias, a single kale bloom, stock, queen anne's lace, eucalyptus & greenery. The final piece looked beautiful and smelled fantastic. The bouquet was wrapped in velvet clover-colored ribbon, stripped ribbon & a piece of ivory silk.
The bride's sister carried a bouquet that was very similar... slightly smaller and sans ivory ribbon.
Lance wore a boutonniere of ivory spray roses, a fiddle head fern frond, and greenery. His boutonniere was tied with stripped green and white ribbon. His groomsman wore a matching bout.
The couple's fathers wore spray rose boutonnieres wrapped in white ribbon.
The mothers wore wrist corsages of white ranunculus and ivory spray roses.
The ceremony took place at the Ocean Pines Community Church. White and green bows with hanging salt grass plumes were placed on the first few rows of seating. Clusters of white hydrangea and greenery marked seating reserved for family.
Two large arrangements in mercury glass vessels were placed on the church alter.
After the ceremony, the guests headed to Harrison's Harbor Watch Restaurant over looking the inlet and the bay in Ocean City, Maryland. 24 of the cutest centerpieces were placed upon each table and cocktail table. Ribbons of stripes, silk, metallics & solids were wrapped around the center of each vase and marked with a pearl accent.
The pew bows from the ceremony at the church were repurposed on a few of the reception tables... from pew decor to table swags. I love the idea of repurposing floral arrangements from the ceremony to the reception.
The cupcake display by Cupcakes in Bloom was gorgeous. They did a great job incorporating the bride's floral choices into their display.
Congratulations, Keri & Lance! Best wishes for a lifetime filled with love and laughter...
