This past weekend, Emily and George battled Mother Nature on their wedding day. While delivering and setting up their wedding flowers, George was so cool, calm and collective... and the fact that a tornado had just touched down less than 20 miles away didn't seem to phase him! Thankfully, the tornado that had hit south of OC diminished and resulted in nothing more than gusty winds on the harbor.
Emily & George's wedding took place at their home.
Coastal Tented Events provided a gorgeous sail cloth tent that was right at home overlooking Sunset Marina.
The centerpieces were composed of lush white hydrangeas, white garden roses, yellow garden roses and white sweetheart roses. The florals were placed inside of glass-blown cylindrical vases that were made in Mexico. The tall cocktail tables were centered with glass-blown square vases filled with matching lush florals. The color scheme of pale yellow and white really accented the clean linens and dark wood accents.
The couple had asked that I decorate their white archway with a fresh floral spray. Their ceremony would take place in front of this archway overlooking the water. I created a large spray of greenery, hydrangea, roses & calla lilies. It was sleek, full and romantic.
The bride carried a full, tradional-shaped-shaped, rounded bouquet bursting with hydrangea, white garden roses and calla lilies. It was so classically beautiful. Emily's bouquet was wrapped in white ribbon, a buttercream yellow accent ribbon, and a strand of beads cascading from the stem wrap. Pearl pins added to the elegance.
The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets with pops of yellow. The yellow garden roses used were large, soft and so open. The fragrance was remarkable.
The mother of the bride and mother of the groom carried small posies.
The groom wore a traditional white rose boutonniere with a white ribbon accent to match his bride. The groomsmen wore white roses, too, but their boutonnieres were marked with pale buttercream yellow ribbons to match the bridesmaid's bouquets.
The father's wore single white roses and the ring bearer wore a boutonniere made with smaller white spray roses.
Congratulations, Emily & George! May your life together be filled with love, laughter and romance! Have fun on your vacation! Thank you for choosing LML as your wedding florist!
