Bohemian Beach Wedding Inspiration at Harrison’s Harbor Watch

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade.” – Charles Dickens

It may have still been chilly outside earlier this month when we set up a beautiful scene inside of Harrison’s Harbor Watch Restaurant but these colorful flowers made it feel like a sunshine-filled warm wedding day!

Together with a team of fantastic wedding vendors from the Ocean City area we planned an afternoon of bohemian florals, nautical accents, and decorations that would make any bride planning a coastal wedding extremely happy.

Harrison’s Harbor Watch Restaurant is located in downtown Ocean City, Maryland and overlooks the inlet, Ocean City’s rock jetty, and a stretch of Assateague Island. Many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony on the beach and opt for a reception at Harrison’s afterwards. Harrison’s is a classic beach reception venue; coastal decor, antiques, a beautiful view of the ocean, a menu filled with fresh seafood, and history dating back to 1884.

We started with a bohemian beach theme. Colorful florals in a bright, whimsical shape filled silver mercury glass compotes. Model Michelle Watts wore a Maggie Sottero gown and veil. The coastal bohemian theme was brought to life with decorative pieces from Little Miss Lovely Floral Design and Alison to the AltarMinted.com provided the classically nautical navy blue embossed stationary used for this shoot.

A bohemian-styled, less traditional, white lace gown from Lulu’s was modeled by yours truly and paired with a floral headpiece with veil. The floral crown with veil attached is a perfect option for brides with short hair that still want to rock a long veil. Bridal accessories included a sweet Ranunculus fresh flower ring as well as jewelry by Simply Vera by Vera Wang and a wedding ring set from Newshe Jewelry.

Andrea Bounds, of Andrea Bounds Hair and Makeup, has an incredible eye for color palettes and the right amount of drama when it comes to working with brides. Working with these models was no exception.

Sugar Rush by Theresa provided a tasty treat for us to work with at the venue. The tiered buttercream cake was beautiful! Dressed up with a fresh flowers or decked out with hand-painted seashells and navy and white striped ribbon; this cake was a show stopper either way.
