If you follow Little Miss Lovely on social media, you may notice that I’ve participated in photo shoots known as “Styled Shoots” frequently this past year. What is a styled shoot? A styled shoot is a way for a business professional to work side-by-side with other vendors in the same industry to produce photos that tell a story, attract the ideal client, and showcase your work. More than anything, styled shoots are a way for businesses to get to know other professionals in the same field and build relationships with like-minded individuals. Sounds pretty awesome, right? As Little Miss Lovely Floral Design & Event Decorating grows, I’m finding it more important than ever to team up with other wedding industry pros who share the same passions as I do and love to create beautiful things.
With all of the above being said, the photos from this gorgeous styled shoot make my heart skip a beat. When Leah Adkins and Brooke Boothe approached me a few months ago to team up on a shoot, I did a happy dance and immediately said yes. They had a theme chosen, a location scouted, and a list of other vendors who were also on board. I was in charge of making floral arrangements for the shoot that captured the essence of a timeless, romantic, farm wedding.
I used a plethora of textural greens, peach garden roses, ivory roses, fluffy white hydrangea, full filler flowers, and one of my favorite roses - the earl grey rose - to create the lush floral pieces for this shoot. All of the vases, place settings, candle holders, dish ware, curtain backdrop and antique crates are LML rental pieces, too. It was so neat to see my flowers complimented so nicely by a beautiful setting, some stunning models, a gorgeous invitation suite, and delicious food (that charcuterie table - oh my gosh!).
Leah Adkins Photography did an absolutely stunning job capturing all of the details. She was running around snapping photos the entire day. Tony Palmput together a really neat behind-the-scenes video of how the day went. His video stars the talented Brooke Boothe. She’ll fill you in on some of the other details about this fun day.
