Melissa & Mike's wedding was one that I had been looking forward to for months. This past Saturday, 9.6.14, was one of my busiest wedding days of the season... and delivering Melissa's beautiful bouquet was the best way to start a hectic day of weddings!
The bride's bouquet was a dream; bright colors, bold blooms, and dreamy succulents. An array of 'out-of-the-norm' flowers in shades of bright pink, orange, purple & lime green mixed perfectly with the milky green colors of large succulents. The bouquet was wrapped in gorgeous champagne satin lace, ivory silk & vintage lace.
The groom wore a bout of a single succulent paired with a yellow ranunculus & greenery. It perfectly complimented the bride's bouquet.
The groomsmen wore smaller, matching succulent boutonnieres that featured rounded orange ranunculus blooms.
The couple was married on the beach at Assateague Island on a super-hot afternoon with the most gorgeous fluffy white clouds you have ever seen. The bride wore a floor-length champagne-colored gown that was covered in sparkly beading. I'm sure that this bouquet added a colorful, natural contrast to the shimmering gown... and the boutonnieres were pinned onto light blue and white seersucker suits! So awesome for a beach wedding.
The wedding reception took place at Waterman's Restaurant in West Ocean City, Maryland. I absolutely love decorating this space and working along side Jessica, Waterman's Event Coordinator.
The centerpieces consisted of miscellaneous mason jars: some filled with colorful flower selections, some filled with sand art-like potted succulents atop moss, and glittery table number jars of floating candles. Lime green reindeer moss, coral rose petals, sand dollars, and thin starfish looked nice surrounding the mason jar compilations. Jessica ran burlap runners along each of the tables.
The entry table featured place cards and a three-paneled poster board filled with notes from family members and friends.
I thought that the couples blue crab groom and lobster bride was the cutest little thing! When I pulled into the couple's driveway to deliver the bridal party flowers, a sign featuring these little creatures was welcoming. Love the note below from Mike's son...
I'd like to thank Renee - someone who I now consider a friend and a lovely woman who is always more than happy to recommend Little Miss Lovely to her friends and family members in need of flowers - for introducing me to Melissa and for taking great photos at their wedding!
Melissa, you were a dream bride. I am so happy that you chose Little Miss Lovely for your floral needs on your wedding day. I hope that this day was everything you dreamt it would be! Congratulations!!
