A color scheme of teal, fuchsia and ivory, a color-blocked bridal bouquet, and a wedding day of blue skies and high temperatures... perfect elements for a late summer / early autumn wedding in Ocean City, Maryland.
Typically, I am a "more is more" kind of girl when it comes to wedding details - but when it came to Brenda & Francis' wedding flowers, "less is more" was completely the way to go. Their wedding arrangements were full, colorful and filled with texture, but still put off a classic vibe.
Brenda's bridesmaids carried bouquets of rich white blooms and accents of fuchsia. The bride chose colors of Oasis and Begonia from David's Bridal to carry throughout her coastal wedding. Begonia fuchsia ribbon was wrapped around the bridesmaid bouquets. The maid of honor's bouquet had ivory ribbon, as well.
The bride's bouquet was original! A cluster of fuchsia ranunculus, freesia, dahlia & orchids was eye-catching against a completely white array of flowers. This block of fuchsia color was set off with a teal, Oasis ribbon stem wrap. The bouquets looked neat placed in cylindrical vases with teal-stained bottoms.
The groom wore a boutonniere of a single white rose and a stem of fuchsia freesia. The bout was wrapped in teal oasis ribbon.
The best man wore a boutonniere made of a white rose and a teal-painted stephanotis flower. It was wrapped in fuchsia ribbon.
The groomsmen wore boutonnieres of white roses and greenery.
A ring bearer wore a clip boutonniere of a single spray rose.
A flower girl wore a crown of baby's breath, white stock, white spray roses and clusters of eucalyptus seeds.
A mother's corsage looked classically beautiful. White ranunculus and a white spray rose were accented with rhinestones and white stock flowers.
The couple said their vows at Ocean City's First Presbyterian Church on 13th Street. Pews were decorated with teal and fuchsia ribbons, white tulle & single hydrangea stems backed with greenery.
The church alter looked nice with a single alter arrangement. Bright fuchsia blooms were placed next to white flowers inside of a simple square glass vase.
The wedding reception took place at Harrison's Harborwatch Restaurant. The Harborwatch overlooks Ocean City's inlet and Assateague Island.
Simple small arrangements of single white hydrangea stems placed in clear cylindrical glass vases (with white stones and white seashells at the bottoms) were wrapped with single ribbons with rhinestone accents. These arrangements were placed on each table that sat 4 guests. They were perfect for the smaller tables at the venue. Hot pink rose petals were placed around each hydrangea centerpiece.
Taller arrangements were placed on the cake table, bar, and entry table. A large arrangement was placed on the couple's sweetheart table, too.
Congratulations on your marriage, Brenda & Frank!
