A heavy grey sky was the perfect compliment for this beach wedding. A color scheme of light blue, peach & white brightened up the shoreline this past Saturday. Lynnet and Steve said their vows in a sweet ceremony before a group of 75 family members and friends.
Lynnet's bouquet was stunning. She had asked for a vintage-like bouquet filled with a blend of fluffy blue hydrangeas, geraldine roses, white roses & greenery. I added some seeded eucalyptus and fresh ivy to bring the 'vintage' look into this bouquet. The bride's bouquet was wrapped in light blue ribbon and vintage ivory lace. Rhinestone accents were placed in the hydrangea billows.
Steve's boutonniere matched the bride's bouquet perfectly; a single peach rose, a puff of blue hydrangea & greenery tied with a thin blue ribbon.
Mia, Lynnet's gorgeous daughter, carried a bouquet of blue hydrangea, white roses, blue delphinium, ivy & plumosa fern. Her bouquet was playful and fun while still fitting into the 'vintage' style.
The ceremony took place in front of Adolfo's Italian Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland. Rows of white chairs were placed on the beach and a white runner ran down the center aisle. A backdrop of sheer white fabric and beachy blue tulle was adorned with garland and an asymmetrical floral piece.
Adolfo's Restaurant was made-over for the couple's wedding reception.
Centerpieces featured blue, white, ivory & peach flowers and were placed in crystal vases the couple picked out. Longer dining tables had strands of soft fern and ivy that trailed down the center of the ivory linens.
Yummy Sweet Shop in Ocean Pines created a fun tiered cupcake and wedding cake display. The glitzy cupcake wrappers matched the marbles in the bottom of the crystal vases perfectly.
Congratulations, Lynnet & Steve! It was a pleasure working with you. You are both inspirational and I am so happy to have met you and help play a part in your wedding day.
