sandcastle home tour

As in years prior, I was more than excited when I received a letter in the mail asking if I would be a floral participant in the annual Ocean City Art League's Sandcastle Home Tour. I sent my response letter back and waited to see which gorgeous home I would be assigned to decorate with a few beautiful flower arrangements. This year's home tour theme was "Looking back - moving forward". 5 of the homes featured on the tour were highlights from years prior. There were 6 other homes that were new to the tour for 2014. I was assigned a new participant... The Miller home. Located in mid-town Ocean City, the Miller's home has lush gardens, a tropical/Colonial inspired interior & a beautiful view of the bay. I created a fun and funky arrangement that was placed inside one of the homeowner's favorite dishes. It lit up the formal dining room! A mixture of tropical blooms was paired with local greenery and white orchids. Two other smaller arrangements were placed in the home's kitchen and bathroom.
