This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of decorating and helping with the 2014 Holiday Gala for Homes to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County. Following the success of last year’s event, the 2014 Holiday Gala for Homes featured creative cuisine from the area’s finest restaurants, four local and regional musical acts, and an open bar. The historic Atlantic Hotel set the scene, and was furnished beautifully with mis-matched furniture groupings, hay bale couches, decorative lighting, flowers and festive greenery. Every aspect came together perfectly to compliment the entertainment and cuisine in the various tents and rooms throughout the night.
All of the evening's proceeds went straight to Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County. It was so nice to see members of the community raising funds for area residents in need.
The Atlantic Hotel was transformed into a harvest-inspired holiday celebration. Little Miss Lovely created floral arrangements using seasonal greenery, ferns, dried wheat & various white florals. Many of the centerpieces, accent arrangements and garlands were auctioned off during the event's silent auction. Several lucky winners went home with festive arrangements.
Gold pinecones, rustic wood sliced, mason jars filled with candles & hanging chandeliers made of boxwood, cedar and douglas fir greens paired nicely with hay-bale "couches", wicker furniture, and stages made of recycled wooden pallets.
Thank you for an incredible evening and for including LML while planning this fantastic event. I am already looking forward to next year's benefit gala! To learn more about Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County, visit their website or donate online.
