Sarah's decision to put all of her bridesmaids, two flower girls & herself in fresh flower crowns may have made her my favorite bride to date! Have you ever seen a more stunning group of bridesmaids?! Sarah and Ricky wed last weekend in Ocean City, Maryland. A teal and purple color scheme added color to an extremely foggy day on the shore. The hand-painted teal hydrangea used in their flower arrangements looked as though it were buzzing along the fog covered shoreline. Many thanks to Erin Wheeler Photography for sharing a few sneak peeks on her Facebook page! I can't wait to see more photos! Sarah's bouquet was so fun and whimsical. A blend of teal flowers, white blooms and purple blossoms was paired with crisp greenery, succulents and grey dusty miller. A tie, belonging to Sarah's late father, was wrapped around the bouquet's stems as a tribute. Tiny photos of the bride and her father hung from the bouquet wrap in dainty little picture frames. photo by chaz jachimski[/caption] Sarah's team of bridesmaids carried traditional shaped bouquets with pops of purple and teal. Each bouquet was wrapped in light purple ribbon to contrast against their teal dresses. Of course, each bridesmaid wore a flower crown composed mostly of baby's breath and mini eucalyptus greens with an accent of white ranunculus and ivory spray roses. Ricky wore a picasso lily and purple wax flower boutonniere. His groomsmen wore white calla lilies mixed with eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves. Each bout was tied with teal ribbon and sealed with a natural, dried starfish. Perfectly fitting for an oceanside wedding. The mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the groom wore wrist corsages that coordinated with their gorgeous gowns. The grandmother's wore all white corsages with rhinestone accents. The ceremony took place on the deck of the Golden Sands in Ocean City. A simple white archway was decorated with tropical greens, monstera leaves, and flowing plumosa fern. A swag of fresh flowers was added to the center of the archway. The aisle was dotted with mason jars overflowing with purple, teal & white flowers. A white pencil starfish hung from each jar. Sarah & Ricky's wedding reception took place upstairs in the Golden Sands' Atrium. Its such a neat spot for a wedding reception and is located on the 22nd floor of the building... Such a beautiful view of the ocean! Half of the tables had large floral centerpieces while others had hurricane vases filled with beach sand, candles, starfish, and purple orchid heads. The mixture of the two styles of centerpieces was really lovely. Each centerpiece was placed upon a giant monstera leaf from Hawaii. Loose orchid heads in purple, white and teal were scattered around the tables. Small white lanterns were glowing on each table. The floral centerpieces contained more than 30 different types of flowers and greenery! I loved how full and textural they turned out. The bride's toss bouquet was placed upon the cake table. Miss Patti Cake knocked it out of the park with this wedding cake covered in edible sugared confections. Congratulations, Sarah & Ricky! Thank you so much for including me in your wedding plans. Jill, I had a blast working with you! Thank you, Jill & Sarah, for remaining easy going, trusting my design ethics and ideas, and for becoming great friends. I can't wait to see you again! Have the time of your life in Mexico, guys! xoxo - Ami
Your flowers were gorgeous! My daughter, Lanie, is the flower girl closest to Sarah. She loved her crown and purple rose petals! Thank you for making Sarah and Ricky’s wedding beautiful with your arrangements!
