Happy birthday, America! Before you venture into Ocean City to visit friends, eat BBQ, play yard games and watch fireworks, check out this lovely little styled shoot by Little Miss Lovely... it will fill you with Independence Day cheer. I was seeing red, white and blue way before the upcoming holiday and wanted to share my enthusiasm. On a hot summer evening I convinced my lovely friend (and soon-to-be LML bride), Jen, to gather all of her red, white and blue clothes and accessories and model for a little styled shoot along the bay in Ocean City. I couldn't have asked for a better model. Look at how cute she is! I can't wait to see her in her wedding gown holding an LML bouquet come September. Thank you for letting me take a million pictures of you, Jen! I used a textural mixture of blooms to create a patriotic, whimsical, asymmetrical bouquet. The hand-tied bouquet consisted of over a half-dozed red roses, blue delphiniums, white garden roses, kale, carnations, greenery and a selection of home-grown wildflowers plucked straight from my garden at home. The bouquet was wrapped with navy silk and tied with striped red and white ribbon. A matching crown of fresh flowers accented the fun bouquet. Happy Fourth of July, my friends!
