Over the weekend, a tented beach wedding was transformed into a stunning garden-inspired rustic coastal wedding. It was a dream seeing these flower arrangements bring the space to life. The Indian River Life Saving Station in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was the perfect venue for Julie & Garrett's wedding day.
Florals and decor in sage green, navy, blush pink, peach and gold tied the design elements together. The bridesmaids wore BHLDN gowns in sage green. The groomsmen wore navy blazers. The tables were dressed in navy linens with sage green napkins. Gold chargers and gold mercury glass votives added sparkle. The sweetheart table was even outfitted with a gold sequin table cloth. A lounge, created out of up cycled pallets, was set with navy cushions and eclectic pillows that fit the color scheme.
Each centerpiece placed underneath the giant sail cloth tent provided by Coastal Tented Events was a work of art. No centerpiece was like another.
The interior tables were square and lined the dance floor. These tables were set for family members and the bridal party. Each of these tables was centered around tall arrangements in fluted glass vases. Some of these tables had large balls of oyster shells mixed with greenery and florals while other tables had tall vases filled with lush white hydrangea and curly willow branches.
The round guest tables filling the tent each homed an eclectic mix of floral centerpieces. Some tables’ themes revolved around gold birdcages spilling with fresh flowers and crystals. Other tables featured galvanized buckets with nautical rope handles filled with lush arrangements. Other tables had modern clear crystal vases spilling over with blooms.
Peonies, garden roses, hydrangea and lisianthis made this wedding feel like a garden was uprooted from the country side and moved directly to the shore line. Peonies in July… yes, Julie is a very lucky bride!
The crew behind Hook Productions was incredibly helpful while placing centerpieces, helping transition pieces from ceremony location to reception space, and keeping the day’s events on schedule. Bethany Blues positioned my floral arrangements beautifully on the buffet tables and Scratch Made Sweets’ beautiful cake looked gorgeous topped with a floral cake topper.
Some highlights of the event included a flip flop stations for guests wanting to ditch their heels and loafers and snag a pair of comfortable flops, an antique boat decked out in fresh garland and fairy lights, a giant LOVE marquee from Coastal Tented Events that made for a perfect photo spot, a hand-drawn map printed on wood by Plak That and used as a guest book, a lounge inside of the pole barn that featured pallet furniture, a bar that was handmade by the father of the groom and positioned underneath hanging orbs of greenery and flowers, the most beautiful invitation suite and matching programs that I have ever seen courtesy of J. Pink - the mother of the groom’s design company, and a weathered arbor that looked right at home placed on the beach.
The above photo was taken by Gillette Portrait Arts and has me excited to see more images from Julie & Garrett’s special day. Julie, you made a stunning bride.
Thank you to my wonderful LML team who helped me prepare for this event and went above and beyond while helping me set up these florals on the beach this past weekend. Savannah & Mom, I couldn’t have done this without you! Thank you for working side-by-side with me.
As the ocean has no end, neither does the love shared between husband and wife... Congratulations, Julie & Garrett! Thank you for having LML play a role in your wedding day!
Perfection! Just like the happy couple!
