Did you visit the Philadelphia Flower Show this year? My mother and I visited mid-week and took part in the Wedding Wednesday activities. We turned out trip into an all-day affair and made sure to see every aspect of the show. This year’s Flower Show theme was “ART-iculture”. Earlier this month, I visited Longwood Gardens to take a class, a tour, and explore. Just after the huge ice storm that hit Central PA & surrounding areas, Longwood was still covered in a thick layer of ice and snow. The outdoor gardens were closed due to downed tree branches and slick conditions, but the conservatory was open and so refreshing. In contrast to the arctic-like conditions outside, the warm and balmy conservatory was more than refreshing.
