ringing in 2015 with a retail location!

To sum up 2014: A newly renovated at-home studio and garage workshop, 42 beautifully romantic weddings, 198 stunning bouquets, 220 blossoming boutonnieres, 6 memorial services that touched my heart, 1 fuzzy labradoodle by my side, more than 20,000 miles for deliveries, one dazzling engagement ring placed on my left hand, a beyond supportive fiancé and family, countless clients that I now call my friends, and one big flower-covered dream that keeps me going. To celebrate the beginning of 2015: A new retail location for Little Miss Lovely! This past year has been absolutely incredible. I’ve poured my heart, soul, and every ounce of creativity my body can muster into this little business known as Little Miss Lovely. This floral and event career that I have created for myself brings me so much joy. Every second spent working on floral creations, weddings and events is worth all of the time, energy and hard work that goes into making each of these moments a dream come true. For more than a year, Little Miss Lovely has been a delivery-only floral service that operated out of my home. Over the next few weeks, Little Miss Lovely will be transitioning into a new home that offers a small retail space, larger work studio and a fantastic spot for flower pickups. I am so excited about this venture for Little Miss Lovely and this new chapter in my life. Never did I ever think of myself as a shop owner until recently. Only after pulling off 5 weddings in one weekend working out of a 12’ by 19’ studio and using every inch of space to store bouquets, centerpieces & buckets of fresh flowers did the thought of needing more space cross my mind. Little Miss Lovely’s Floral Design & Event Decorating Studio will be conveniently  located on the corner of Route 50 and Route 611 in West Ocean City, MD. Little Miss Lovely’s storefront will be located behind Village Greens Garden Center. The next few weeks will be busy (to say the least). I will be working non-stop to transform this new studio space into a fun, home-like, retail space marked by a plethora of items that will inspire my work. January also entails 4 weddings that will be incredible. I hope to have Little Miss Lovely's new location open and operating for business by Valentine's Day 2015. My head will be filled with lofty ideas, my heart will be filled with nothing but love, my hands will be moving as fast as they can, and excitement for the future will get me through all of this.
