n's baptism

Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to work on flower arrangements for the prettiest, most regal & super fun baptism ceremony. The arrangements revolved around Nicole's favorite color - pink! Nicole, a 9-year old little girl, was showered with love and blessing during her baptism at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, MD. Below are images of the alter arrangements (placed in tall, metal pedestals) and the reception centerpieces before they left Little Miss Lovely's shop... St. George's Greek Orthodox Church is one of the most elaborate and highly decorated churches in the Ocean City area. I was amazed by the ornate details and decorations. Being held right after the Easter, the church was already decked out with potted Easter lilies and dried garland from the holiday services. The two alter pieces were created using pink hydrangea, white hydrangea, gerber daisies in various shades of pink, multiple greens, baby's breath, large roses & curly willow branches. Everything was doused in pink glitter - because every little girl loves glitter! A reception was held for family and friends at Lighthouse Sound following the baptismal ceremony. Several centerpieces were placed on the tables and a giant sheet cake was decorated with fresh gerber daisies and greenery.
