A bohemian beach wedding in the presence of your closest family and friends... sounds perfect, does't it? Last Thursday, Lauren and Tommy tied the knot on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. The bride requested a non-traditional, garden-style bouquet filled with wildflowers. She didn't want traditional white roses and was looking for something a little more funky. I created her bouquet using locally grown snapdragons, zinnias, chamomile, and solidago. White astilbe, veronica & seeded eucalyptus added texture. This bridal bouquet had a perfectly flouncy feel to it. Two bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets that matched the bride's flowers. The mother of the bride and mother of the groom carried small posies that matched the feel and style of the bridal flowers. The groom and his best man wore fun boutonnieres made of veronica, chamomile & solidago. During the reception, a yellow hibiscus plant was gifted to the couple. It was displayed nicely beside the couple's wedding cake. The reception took place at the gorgeous Lighthouse Sound Restaurant. I created a playful cake topper of fresh flowers. The arrangement looked stunning atop a beautiful two-tiered cake created by Sugar Rush by Theresa. Isn't that buttercream icing awesome?! The couple's ceremony was arranged & performed by Alison to the Altar... It was a pleasure to work alongside of this talented group of women while arranging this wedding.
