10 Things I Love

Pheww! It's only Saturday night and this weekend is already wearing me out! I've been working non-stop at the bar trying to make some money for all of the big plans (vacation, new apartment, camera, motorcycle, etc... this list could go on and on!) I have scheduled during the next few months. As I'm trying to relax after a hard day of work, I stumple upon all kinds of fun things on the interweb. Here are a few things that I'm loving this weekend...1.) Betsey Johnson has the best sunglass collection around! I'm addicted. I, myself, only own one pair, but I love wearing...

Ocean City Blvd. II

Remeber this big ole' beauty on Ocean City Blvd.? I had a quick visit with her last week while my mother was in town. Things didn't turn out as planned... but, now that mom's gone... I went back! This home was actually quite happy to see me.This house was filled with lots of old charm. Big molding, large windows, tall ceilings, push-button light switches. There was also a lot of empty candy-wrappers in the house. Not so sure about that one. It was like kids emptied out their candy buckets after going trick-or-treating and left all of the candy papers...

Caught by Surprise

Every now and again I get the feeling like I'm not supposed to be somewhere. Like I'm not supposed to be disturbing an old farm house that was built in 1875. Like I'm not supposed to be climbing through vines of poison ivy to take photographs of vintage wall paper. Psshhh. Thank goodness those feelings only happen every so often.Yesterday evening, Sandi and I went to visit this old house. It's one of my favorites and sits way back a dirt lane in the country. Completely serene and the perfect place to get away for a few hours. Unless there's...

Rouge Evening

Last weekend, after watching the Coal Town Rounders at the Abbey Bar in Harrisburg, Kid PA put on an excellent show. I swear that they get better, and better every time I see them (which is extremely often). These guys tore it up. Since Kid PA was the last band to play at the Rouge Evening event, the crowd was just a little tipsy by the time they began. What can you expect from the only brewery in town? Great job satisfying my live punk music fix for the week. Found out earlier this week that Kid PA will be playing a...

A Little Nostalgia

Who sneaks off to the wilderness to take outfit photos? This strange little girl right here, that's who. This section of the woods was cleared for a housing development that never became. I'm fine with that. I much prefer this serene grassy opening in the middle of the trees to a community of townhomes any day. That red & white stripped dress has a lot of sentimental value to it. Why? My mother used to be a pageant queen. Yes, it's true. She has a few titles under her belt. Thank goodness she never forced that hobby onto my sister &...
