Stehli Silk Mill

I have been fantasizing about entering these buildings for weeks now, maybe even months. After doing some research on historical sites remaining in Lancaster, PA, I stumbled upon this... The historic Stehli Silk Mill. This mill was the 2nd largest silk mill in the entire world. This building represents an important chunk of Lancaster’s industrial past.I took so many pictures while in the mill earlier this week. Bruce let me borrow his fancy camera (much fancier than mine) and now I think I need one after seeing how fantastic these pictures turned out. Next purchase, maybe? At its peak, more than 2,100...

Hereford Road Farmhouse

While commuting to Millersville University from my parents house for a year (a few years ago now), I always took the back roads through Pennsylvania farm country to avoid traffic. I drove past this house roughly 10 times a week while in college. While staying in Lancaster, PA this weekend, I finally decided to stop and explore. It was raining and hazy when I visited this property. I'm actually surprised my car didn't get stuck in the muddy driveway as I was traveling away from this home. Located on Hereford Road in the Rheems/Elizabethtown, PA area, this old farmhouse has been vacant...

Easter Weekend

Whew! This weekend was quite a whirlwind. I keep reminding myself to play catch up and get some Zzzz's, but I have so much I'd like to get done today! I'll sleep later. I hope that your Easter weekend was lovely. Here's a little recap of everything that kept me occupied the past few days...I went to 2 hockey games... in 1 night. One in Lancaster the other in Hershey. I think that #13 has a nice butt.(I love this shot. One of the mens rooms at the old Hersheypark Arena.)I went to 2 shows. Punk rock by Locals, Dead...

10 Things I Love

Hope that you are all enjoying your Easter weekend! Here are a few things that I am loving this weekend:1.) These fun socks! Shark attack! The have alligator and fish ones, too. 2.) This seductive boudoir shoot by videographer Maria Ferreira. Inspiring to watch the behind the scenes action happening. Makes me want to get dolled up and in front of a camera, or even behind one. Check out her other videos, too![vimeo http://www.vimeo.com/21416275 w=400&h=300]3.) The Zinke collection at Anthropologie. I've got a weakness for silk and mesh... especially when combined to make one fantastic undergarment set! Loving this yellow...

1950's Chevy Pickup

I've never been much of a Chevy girl. Can't say that I've ever driven one actually. I can still appreciate a classic when I see one, though. I stopped to take a few photos of this rusty bucket yesterday. I was checking out an old abandoned house but this truck seemed like it wanted to be photographed more than the home (& the homes floor boards sank when I stepped into the front door. Not a good sign). (Source.) I believe this is a 1950-1954 Chevrolet Pick Up truck. One that's been left outside for FAR too long. Imagine how...
