The Spring season is upon us, for sure. Winter defeat officially occurred today as I put on my swimsuit and laid on the beach... Hoorah! 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.I was only able to lay around for a short hour before getting back to business. I spent a few hours this morning doing work-related things, swung by the skate park to see the awesome renovations underway, hit the beach, went for a run, and got back to 'work'. By 'work' I mean the laundry, dishes, baking, and gardening that needed to be done at my house....

I did something really cool today. The Maryland Coastal Bays Program that I love so much opened their canoe, kayak, and paddle board stand at the Assateague Island National Seashore to the public today for a few hours. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to paddle around the Sinepuxent Bay with a few other eco-enthusiasts and water-adventurers. Most of the paddlers were just testing out the kayaks and boards since they were camping at the park.While I was out cruising in the open waters, I spotted this gorgeous jelly fish. Quite possibly the prettiest jelly I have EVER seen!...

Is there something, just one thing that you do when you need to calm your thoughts, center yourself, or clear your mind? For me, I can accomplish each of these processes while in the ocean.
