Beachy Keen

I was feeling very Springy today and wore a pink button-up dress and my pink Spring jacket that I recently thrifted in Chicago. It was perfect pink weather! I worked all day in this beautiful little town:I love working in a small historic town. After work, I picked up Sandi and we drove up the coast to Rehoboth beach to do some visiting and some shopping.Rehoboth is only about 45 minutes north of where I live but I feel like I never head up that way. It's like a treat to go there! They have fantastic restaurants, cultural personalities, and...

10 Things I Love

1.) This beautiful Black Swan vs. White Swan bridal inspired photoshoot by Jessica Claire and a large team. Love the ballet shots, too! Gorgeous. 2.) Pretty pink house, you are so dreamy. (Source.) 3.) Pretty pink kitchen, please park yourself in my home. (Source & Source.) 4.) Alex Madonna's Gold Rush looks just devine! Pink everything while eating great food... sounds like the perfect dining experience. 5.) Bread and Badger pint glasses! In honor of Saint Patrick's Day... I'd obviously have to have the mermaid so no one would accidentaly steal my pint! 6.) Stamping my already gross, yet most comfortable, painting clothes with...

Before & After: Vintage Luggage Rack

It's time to share a transformation! This isn't the most significant object to perform a transformation on, but it defiantly makes a difference in my shabby chic home. A few years ago, I picked a set of pretty vintage Travel Joy suitcases out of someone’s trash (dumpster diver extraordinaire!). I cleaned them up, showed the suitcases some love, and now I use them all the time! They're classic.I've been searching for an antique luggage rack to display these lovelies on. A few weeks ago I found this 70's-looking luggage rack at our local Goodwill. I knew I could make it...

Riverwalk Park

Drove into Salisbury yesterday and did some thrift shopping! Scored lots of cute things at the local thift store, too. (I’ll post about them tomorrow!) I took Sandi, the labradoodle, with me. We stopped at the pet store so she could show off her new haircut (thanks to her scissor-savvy mother) and pick out some raw-hide treats. Anyways, we went Riverwalk Park in downtown Salisbury to take a walk. The sun was shining all day and the temperature high was around 65 degrees... fantastic! The Salisbury River Walk is a nice walkway that follows the Wicomico River through the historic district of...

Nature Preserve

I had a rough morning... one involving drilling a root out of my tooth and replacing it with a big steel post. Root canals suck. The endodontist (who was very nice and said I was a "tough girl") prescribed me to a prescription and pain killer. I hate taking medicine. I'm so reluctant to take big pills that I'd rather deal with whatever symptoms are headed my way... but my mouth was throbbing! The laundry list of side-effects for medications is crazy. I decided to drink a fruit smoothie with these meds and get outside so I wouldn't notice the...
