Riverwalk Park

Drove into Salisbury yesterday and did some thrift shopping! Scored lots of cute things at the local thift store, too. (I’ll post about them tomorrow!) I took Sandi, the labradoodle, with me. We stopped at the pet store so she could show off her new haircut (thanks to her scissor-savvy mother) and pick out some raw-hide treats. Anyways, we went Riverwalk Park in downtown Salisbury to take a walk. The sun was shining all day and the temperature high was around 65 degrees... fantastic! The Salisbury River Walk is a nice walkway that follows the Wicomico River through the historic district of...

Nature Preserve

I had a rough morning... one involving drilling a root out of my tooth and replacing it with a big steel post. Root canals suck. The endodontist (who was very nice and said I was a "tough girl") prescribed me to a prescription and pain killer. I hate taking medicine. I'm so reluctant to take big pills that I'd rather deal with whatever symptoms are headed my way... but my mouth was throbbing! The laundry list of side-effects for medications is crazy. I decided to drink a fruit smoothie with these meds and get outside so I wouldn't notice the...

Jon Allen Photo

Ever try to look pretty while wearing shorts and a tanktop in 35 degree weather? It's tough! During this shoot with Jon, of Jon Allen Photo, my eyes were tearing up from the 20 mph wind and I had goosebumps all over my skin. I sucked it up because I knew that the results would be awesome and totally worth it. Jon had contacted me to shoot some 80's-inspired excersice photos. Funny, right? I wore my best spandex and bodysuit just for the occassion. Those pictures turned out really well, too, but are embarrassing! Maybe one day I'll post them on...

Spring

You know that Spring is right around the corner (actually, only 7 days away!) when you start seeing these signs:1.) Daffodils blooming in your garden! Lots of my other bulbs are starting to bloom, too. I'm going to go to the nursey to see if I can pick up some Eastery tulips and hyacinths to smell-up the inside of my house today.2.) The cruisers are coming out of their garages! Love seeing old cars driving through town. This is a '62 - '64 model Lincoln Continental. Jersey tags in our Maryland town, but who cares about that. Great weather calls for a...

2nd Friday Art Stroll

I always look forward to the 2nd Friday of every month. In the quaint little town of Berlin an Art Stroll occurs on the 2nd Friday. I love these art strolls. Berlin is a historic community with lots of fun things to do and great people to visit. I decided that Friday was going to be girls night out. Two of my fabulous girlfriends, Tracy and Emily, strolled down the streets of Berlin with me. We stopped at the Berlin Coffe House first to grab a bite to eat and watch local musician (and friend), Phil Knight, perform. He's such a...
