What I Wore: Little Red Dress

You know that you've got a great friend when she offers to let your borrow a vintage dress that belonged to one of her family members. That's how I acquired this adorable little red dress. One of my best friends, Cassie, let me borrow this fancy little vintage find. It was either her grandmother's or her mother's dress. Beautiful, isn't it? I wore this dress to Ashley and Darek's wedding rehearsal and dinner this past Friday night. I think that it was a perfect occasion to wear this little get-up. The dress is made of soft red silk with a satin center...

Meeting the Bean

On Sunday, I high jacked Ashley's car and ventured into the city. I was on a tight schedule seeing as I had just dropped my aunt and her man off at the Midway Airport and had to be back to catch my own flight at O'Hare less than 2 hours later. I was dying all weekend to go see "The Bean". I knew that it was now or never (or at least for a few more years) and drove into the city from the suburbs quickly. (Had to snap a quick picture of this! Cotton candy vendors on the streets!)...

Back from the Windy City

I'm back! My trip to Chicago was beyond busy, filled with fun new memories, new friends, my wonderful family, and some new extended family members. I'm so glad to be back in warm(er) Maryland. The sun is shining, there isn't any snow, and my bed was very warm and comfortable last night. (Aren't airplane pictures the best?! Chicago & Lake Michigan.) My cousin, Ashley's, Polish wedding was a blast! I think I'm still in culture shock, though... Ash married into a polish family and is now Mrs. Darek Mucek. The entire wedding was beautiful and I am excited to...

Washington Capitals

Back from the city once again! Last night Scott and I ventured across the bay bridge and into D.C. for a night of fun and games.Settled in the heart of Washington D.C.'s Chinatown is the humungous Verizon Center, home to the Washington Capitals... Maryland's favorite hockey team (only hockey team). We scored tickets to the game last minute - about 4 hours before actual game time. We rearranged our plans and I worked my butt of yesterday to finish all of my writing so we could go to the game. After the drive with empty stomachs, the Rocket Bar sounded like a good...

10 Things I Love

1.) This adorable little red jumper dress on esty. Precious. 2.) Dial "P" for Princess! Yes, please. 3.) I'm digging this dark and moody artwork featured in the sleeve of the new Freelance Whales record. Their CD, Weathervanes, is pretty stinkin' rad, too!4.) The Fall/Winter 2011/2012 lacey and girlie dresses in the Bottega Veneta line during Fashion Week! To die for. (Source.)   5.) These two things make me very happy: my fancy shoes & my shag rug in my office. 6.) Cupcakes in a Jar! Saw this on the Food Network. Made by Yummy Cupcakes in CA. Good for on the go,...
