I can't believe that I have turned my back to my blog for so long. 3 weeks. It makes my heart hurt. I've been struggling with blogging lately. Since I started my new job last month at a website design and marketing firm, it seems the last thing I want to do is come home to sit at my computer, especially after sitting at a computer for 8 hours earlier. It's something that I've been working on. I love my little blog. It's a way for me to document my daily activities, muses and inspirations... a way to keep track of everything...

Do I have a newsflash or what? Since the last post regarding the opening of my new store, Little Lovely Bones, some really, really good things have happened...1. I celebrated my 25th birthday. A quarter-century old. My parents were visiting, we celebrated at Octoberfest in our tiny little town with pumpkin-flavored brew and my friends, and I had a stellar cake. Am I so obsessed with skulls that my mother knew to get me a skull cake? Too funny. Cheers to my 25th year... I'll embrace it.2. The house renovations are over! For now, at least. My parents, Nana and I ripped...

It's my birthday and I have a HUGE surprise up my sleeve! Something unexpected.Ta-da! My new Etsy store! Ladies (& maybe some gentlemen),  presenting Little Lovely Bones, a funky, fresh and exciting new Etsy store. It seems as though skulls have been an obession of mine for quite some time, especially Day of the Dead sugar skulls. So fun and so kitschy. I've been busy innovating! Playing with clay, making silicon molds, using a kiln, painting, sewing... you name it & I've been working on it. I've always been a jewelry maker - I love beads, making my own beads...

Did you know that the monarch butterflies are in migration? Right this second there are thousands of big orange butterflies fluttering across the country. The monarchs flock (is that word only used for geese?) to Mexico as soon as the cold begins to set in on the east coast. A huge journey for a tiny creature!Word around town was that the butterflies were invading! Not just one or two, but so many that you had to watch where you stepped while walking out of the grocery store because you might squash a few butterflies. My neighbor came over 3 days...
